Shelf sizes, not post counts
The top shelf runs 32 by 17.5 inches with an 8 inch hole cut through it, the second is 21.5 inches with the 12 inch capsule set into it, and the condo below has an 8 inch door. Each layer carries 33 lb.
Four ways to be off the floor
Two boxed condos, a clear capsule and two open platforms. The capsule sits in a hole in the shelf, so a cat lies in it below the walking surface and watches the room through the side of the bubble.
Every soft part comes out
Faux rabbit fur cushions in the condos and scratch resistant carpet mats on the platforms, all detachable. On a frame built from steel and board, the removable fabric is the only thing that will ever need washing.
