Does it come with lights?

No. It is unlit, which on a white tree is worth having deliberately: warm white and cool white bulbs give completely different results on white foliage, and this way the choice is yours.

Is it white all the way through, or flocked?

White throughout. The needles themselves are white rather than green under a flocked coating, which means nothing sheds and the colour stays even.

How many lights would I need?

A common trade rule of thumb is around 100 bulbs per foot of height, so roughly 500 for a five foot tree. A pencil shape needs rather fewer because there is less depth to fill. That is guidance, not a manufacturer specification.

How full does 240 tips look?

Adequate rather than lush. At 1.7 feet wide the branches overlap enough to hide the pole once spread, but this is a slim decorative tree, not a dense one. Spreading every branch matters more here than on a wide tree.

Will the branches take ornaments?

The manufacturer describes the branches as thickened and suitable for decorating. Keep ornaments small: a pencil tree has little depth, so large baubles hang off the silhouette rather than into it.

Does the stand fold?

Yes, and that matters on a tree stored for eleven months. The metal legs fold flat and the foot pads keep it from marking a wood floor.
