Will the flocking come off?

A little at first setup. The manufacturer describes the flocking as having strong adhesion. Open the tree out over a sheet and keep water and sprays off the branches.

Seven feet or more. Guides advise about twelve inches of clear air above the tip before a topper.

Is the stand metal?
