Lounger Chairs

A sun lounger is a long, low seat made for lying back. Lounge chairs cover a wider group, including folding chaise lounges, zero gravity chairs and tanning chairs. Many shoppers use the two terms the same way, so check the length and backrest on each product page.

A zero gravity chair reclines so the backrest and legs lift together. This gives a relaxed, almost weightless seated position. Many fold for storage. Styles in this range often include a cushion, a headrest and a cup holder.

Listed capacities reach 360 lb (163 kg) on 7-position loungers. A zero gravity chair lists 400 lb (181 kg). Capacity varies by model, so check the product page. Choose a chair with room above the heaviest user.

Canadian winters are hard on frames, fabric and fasteners. Fold the chair, wipe it dry and store it indoors, in a shed or garage if you can. Store cushions inside too, since damp and freezing weather shorten their life.

Brush off loose dirt. Then wipe the mesh with warm water, mild soap and a soft cloth. Rinse gently and let it air dry before folding. Avoid harsh cleaners that can fade the colour.

One folding chaise lists 25.6 x 74 x 14.2 in (65 x 188 x 36 cm). Sizes vary by model. Compare the measurements on each product page with your height and your space.
