Are the lighting features cut down on the smallest size?

No. Nine modes, four brightness levels, the timer, the memory function, the remote and the on-tree controller are all the same as on the 7 ft and 8 ft versions. Only the bulb count changes, at 350 rather than 500 or 600.

What ceiling height does it need?

Six feet of tree plus the stand and a topper. A standard eight foot ceiling gives comfortable clearance, which is the main reason to pick this size over the taller two.

What are the nine lighting modes?
