Two layers on every branch

The magnified circle labels both materials where they meet. A firm, full PVC layer runs close to the pole for density. Softer PE needles droop over the outside where you see and touch them. That contrast in texture is what stops artificial foliage reading as one flat stamped surface. There are 1195 tips in total.

What is the mixed setting?

It runs the warm white and the coloured bulbs at the same time rather than switching between them. The manufacturer shows all three side by side on their lighting panel: warm white, mixed, and full multicolour. Mixed is the one most people settle on, since it keeps some warmth in the tree while still showing colour.

How do the brightness levels work?

Four steps at 25, 50, 75 and 100 per cent, set on the remote or the controller. With 400 bulbs on a 7.5 foot tree the lowest setting is genuinely useful in a small room, and the setting is held by the memory function.

What are the timer options?

Three cycles. Six hours on and eighteen off, eight on and sixteen off, or a split pattern of six on, six off, three on and nine off. Once chosen the tree repeats it daily until you change it.

What is the outer foliage made of?

Softer, drooping needles over a firm PVC core. The manufacturer's own text is inconsistent here, naming the outer layer as PE in one place and TPE in another, so we describe it by what it does rather than picking one of their two labels.
