A full tank stops the machine. In a genuinely damp room that happens every few hours, so the unit spends more of the week switched off waiting than it does running. The room never really improves.

Can the drain pipe run uphill to a sink?
No. This model drains by gravity, so the far end of the 3.3 ft pipe must sit lower than the outlet on the machine. A floor drain, a shower tray or a sump works. If the only drain you have is higher than the unit, you need a model with a built-in condensate pump instead.
