Under-bed drawers on a metal frame are usually a bare tray. Folded linen catches on the seams, picks up metal dust and comes out looking older than it is.

All four drawers on this frame come with fabric liners fitted, and the manufacturer shows the comparison against an unlined tray on its own panel. Each drawer also has a stopper behind it so a loaded one does not disappear under the deck.

Lined, not bare

The panel makes the comparison directly: this drawer has a fabric liner and the alternative does not. A liner keeps a folded duvet off bare metal and stops the dust that collects in an open frame settling into what you store. Each drawer runs on four casters, so a loaded one still pulls with one hand.

Between them they account for the published 1100 lb and the noise-free claim. The pads are the part worth using properly: wind them down until the frame stops rocking before you put the mattress on.
